East River State Park

Bottles, 2012

This Way Out, 2012

Two sculptures on display last summer at the East River State Park in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.  Both photos were shot with a Zero 2000 medium format pinhole camera, using Lomography medium format black and white film.  I had never used the Lomography film before, since it is usually ridiculously expensive.   I found this film on sale for $1.99 for a pack of three rolls.  A bargain, and I kind of like the tones and contrast of the photos I've scanned so far.

Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day 2012

I've finally gotten around to processing one roll of this year's pinhole day film.  I doubt I'll be able to process the color shots before the submission deadline, so here's a selection of this year's shots.  All were taken on Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day on April 29th, 2012 with a Zero 2000 medium format pinhole camera on Ilford Delta 100 film.

Thanks for visiting.  Please take a moment to leave comments and questions in the space provided.

Artichoke Field

Artichoke Field, 2012
I still haven't processed my 120 film from Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day, but I did shoot one instant pinhole one the day.  An artichoke field right after a rainstorm, with a rainbow barely visible in the sky in the background.  Shot on expired Polaroid Type 55 4x5 instant film (expired in 2006, I think), using a Leonardo 4x5 pinhole camera and approximately 4 minutes exposure time.  The results seem a tad solarized, but I'm not sure if it's due to expired film or something else.  I'm down to my last 9 sheets of this film, so I'm hoping for a comparable replacement soon.

Zero 2000 Gets Around on Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day.

Today is Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day!  Anyone, anywhere in the world, who makes a pinhole photograph on the last Sunday in April can scan it and upload it to the Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day online gallery here.  Today, we took my Zero 2000 pinhole camera out to photograph a few sights, from a collapsed factory in Murillo de Rio Leza to a Medieval Fair in Najerra to the San Millán Yuso Monastery in San Millán de la Cogolla.  I'm hoping I'll have time to process the film and post some pinholes tomorrow, but here are a few Hipstamatic shots of my camera at work.  Thanks for visiting.  Feel free to leave comments and questions in the space provided.
