Krýsuvík, Iceland

Krýsuvík, 2014

Here's a strange photo that I shot in Iceland with my somewhat broken pinhole camera (after it fell the first time, before it smashed after falling the second time).  I think the black dots are the result dust in the camera falling on the film after fall number one.   Oddly, this was the only exposure on the roll with this kind of damage.

Shot with a wobbly and dented Zero 2000 medium format pinhole camera on Ilford Delta 100 film.

Thanks for visiting.  Please leave comments, questions and theories regarding emulsion damage in the space below.

The Blue Lagoon, Iceland

The Blue Lagoon, Iceland 2014

The Blue Lagoon 2, Iceland 2014

I've recently returned from a short trip to Iceland.  My trusty old Zero 2000 got smashed to pieces in the Icelandic wind (more about that in a future post), but I did manage to shoot a few photos before Iceland killed my camera.  First stop - The Blue Lagoon.  These were the only two photos I was able to shoot there before my camera fell for the first time.  Both were shot using a Zero 2000 medium format pinhole camera and Ilford Delta 100 film.

NYC Pinhole Portrait 1

NYC Pinhole Portraits 1- Occupy Wall Street, 2013

Often, when I'm out on the street with my taking photos with my pinhole camera, people stop to ask what I'm doing, or to ask questions about my camera.  Whenever that happens, I try to ask the curious person if they'll pose for a pinhole portrait.  Thus, I present part one in an ongoing series of pinhole portraits.

This man was working the Occupy Wall Street booth in Union Square.  He asked about the camera, posed for a photo and sold me a t-shirt.

Photo shot using a Zero 2000 medium format pinhole camera on Kodak Ektar 100 film.  Please feel free to leave comments or questions in the space provided.  Thanks for visiting.

I was lucky that my visit to Kyoto happened to fall on the 25th of the month, when they have an excellent flea market at Kitano Tenman-gū Shrine.  Plenty of crafts, antiques, and food plus a visit to the shrine.

All photos were shot with a Zero 2000 medium format pinhole camera on Ilford Delta 100 film.
