Krappy Kamera 2011
Busy preparing my submissions for the Soho Photo's Krappy Kamera show.
http://sohophoto.com/krappy_kamera_comp.html
This year, they're accepting entries digitally. Whew! No need to run to the post office! I will post my entries here later today. Wish me luck!
UPDATE - My entries are submitted. Here they are for all of my readers to enjoy (even though I don't have any readers). All were shot on film using a Zero 2000 medium format pinhole camera.
UPDATE #2 - I've noticed several people have landed here after google searches for Krappy Kamera. If you are one of those Google searchers, welcome to my blog! In case you are wondering, my entries were not chosen for this year's show. That would make six years in a row that I have not made the cut (or is it seven... it seems I've lost track). No awards for persistence there. Maybe next year I'll send a donation instead!

CameraBag for iPad
I'm not an iPhone user, but I've been slightly intrigued by the photo filtering apps available for iPhone photos. Alas, my great joy when I discovered that the CameraBag app is available for iPad. The iPad does not have a camera, but you can upload digital photos onto the device. Then simply choose your filter, adjust and save. You can choose from faux Holga, instant or Lomo, among others. While (to me), the process is not as fun as the film cameras it tries to emulate, the results aren't bad and the app is good fun.

After midnight, still yesterday
It's only been a few days, and I've already (almost) broken my post a day oath. Almost. Here's today's photo, might replace it with something else in the morning. In honor of Festivus, a yummy, Spanish treat.
Hmmm. Linking not working from the iPad. Will replace the link with a photo in the morning.

St Jean de Luz
It's still raining here, with no stop in the foreseeable future. I'm trying to clean my office, but spending more time going through old photo scans.
I shot this photo of nets at the port in St. Jean de Luz, France last spring. It was shot on a blackbird, fly in full frame mode. I wasn't all that pleased with the shot when I scanned it, but it's starting to grow on me. At the moment, I'm wishing I could swap the photo for the real thing. I spring day in St Jean de Luz would make me very happy.

Post a Photo Every Day?
I have decided to (try to) post a photo here every day. Some will come with commentary, some not.
About today's post - This was shot on Worldwide Pinhole Day 2010. WWPD occurs every year on the last Sunday in April. This was shot on a 4 by 5 pinhole camera, using a sheet of my dwindling supply of Polaroid Type 55 film. Shot in a forest somewhere near Bermeo, it was a rare, rainless day in Northern Spain.
